Hardware Connections
1 Use the included power cable to connect the Zyxel Device’s power port to a power outlet.
2 Connect the Internet port of the Zyxel Device to a broadband modem or router that is connected to the Internet.

This section describes how the Zyxel Device can be mounted.

Wall Mounting
Use the wall mounting method to install your Zyxel Device. See
Zyxel Device Mounting Options for more information.
Mark a hole on the wall at least 2 meter-high from the ground level. Drill the hole and insert the included anchor and wall mount screw into the wall. Align the mounting hole on the Zyxel Device to the wall mount screw on the wall. Adjust the angle of the Zyxel Device to make sure it is secure in place.
Desk Placement
You may place your Zyxel Device on a desk, table, shelf, and so on. See
Zyxel Device Mounting Options for more information.
Attach the bottom of the Zyxel Device to the magnetic stand. Then, place the Zyxel Device on a desk, table, shelf, and so on.
WPS Button
Use the WPS button to quickly set up a secure WiFi connection between the Zyxel Device and a WPS-compatible client device or WiFi extender by adding one device at a time.
To activate WPS:
1 Press the WPS button until the

LED blinks green and release it. See
LED Light for the Zyxel Device LED table.
2 Press the WPS button on another WPS-enabled client device within range of the Zyxel Device within 120 seconds. The LED blinks green while the Zyxel Device sets up a WPS connection with the other WiFi client device.
3 Once the connection is successfully made, the LED turns off.

When the Zyxel Device fails to set up a WPS connection, the WPS

LED blinks green for 120 seconds and then turns off.
Reset Button
If you need to return the Zyxel Device to its default settings, use the RESET button on the rear panel.
Reset the Zyxel Device Back to Factory Default Settings
For a factory reset, press the
RESET button for at least 3 seconds or until the system (

) LED starts to blink green.
LED Light
Look at the LED behavior to determine the status of the Zyxel Devices. See

The following are the LED descriptions for your Zyxel Device.

| Green | On | The Zyxel Device is ready for use. |
Blinking | The Zyxel Device is booting up, or the Zyxel Device is upgrading firmware. |
| Green | On | The Zyxel Device is registered and connected to NCC (Nebula Control Center). |
Blinking | The Zyxel Device can connect to NCC but is not registered in NCC. |
Yellow | On | The registered Zyxel Device cannot connect to NCC. |
Blinking | The unregistered Zyxel Device cannot connect to NCC. |
| Off | The Zyxel Device in failed to connect to the Internet. |
| Green | On | The Zyxel Device’s WiFi is on and with connected WiFi clients. |
Blue | On | The Zyxel Device’s WiFi is on but without WiFi clients. |
| Off | The Zyxel Device’s WiFi is off. |
| Green | Blinking | The Zyxel Device is setting up a WPS connection with another device. |
| Off | The Zyxel Device: • has connected successfully through WPS, or • failed to set up a WPS connection, or a 120 second timeout has occurred. |
